Intro to MIG and Flux Core Welding

This in-person workforce training program prepares students with essential welding skills using GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (Flux Core) processes to support entry-level employment and continued training in the welding field.

This introductory, in-person course trains students in GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (Flux Core) welding techniques. Instruction focuses on welding safety, foundational welding principles, equipment setup, and hands-on skill development. Students gain practical experience that prepares them for entry-level welding roles and further study in welding and fabrication programs.

Admission Requirements
Participants must be at least 16 years of age to enroll.
No high school diploma or GED required.

Course Cost: $900

Upon successful completion, students will earn two NC3 certifications
• Welding Safety
• Principles of Welding

Students may also be eligible for Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) credit toward the Welding Technology program at Wallace State.
